Village Square

Our Footprints

Footprints that ripple across Texas

We started in Texas and keep stretching our circle. Every program leaves a footprint of connection, and every new city we visit becomes part of the Village.

From our beginnings in Texas, The Village Square is steadily growing across the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. Each program, outing, and circle leaves behind footprints of connection, joy, and belonging.

Our goal is to expand our reach while keeping our heart rooted in community bringing culturally meaningful elder programs to more neighborhoods, one gathering at a time.

As we grow, we envision The Village Square becoming a model that can be replicated in cities across the nation, ensuring that African and African-diaspora elders everywhere have spaces to thrive, connect, and be celebrated.

Dallas core

Story circles, cooking labs, and tech coaching pop up in Oak Cliff, Pleasant Grove, and South Dallas each month.

Fort Worth eastside

Wellness walks and intergenerational game nights gather elders at libraries, churches, and rec centers.

Suburban connectors

Families invite us into Arlington, Grand Prairie, and Mansfield to host weekend excursions and fellowship brunches.

How we grow responsibly

Expansion is rooted in relationships. These steps help us honor the communities who invite us in.

Listen

Meet with elders, families, and local leaders to understand neighborhood rhythms and accessibility needs.

Activate

Pilot pop-ups with partner venues, transportation teams, and wellness ambassadors from each community.

Sustain

Train local volunteers, share resources, and build recurring calendars that keep elders connected year-round.
